The company entered the aviation sector after the advent of Open Sky Policy which paved way for the Private Airlines as a ground handler for Air India with Jet Air Ltd - Visskan Aviation’s first client and moved forward to handle Domestic Airlines later. No looking back for Visskan Aviation since then and is regarded as a reliable ‘Quality Service Provider’ for both Domestic and International Airlines at Bangalore and seven other airports. Company has aligned itself with the growth of low cost carriers in India and has ensured Visskan was precisely meeting the needs of this airline model by consistently delivering fast turnarounds whilst maintaining quality at competitive pricing.

Mr. Krishna Kumar
Chief Finance Officer

A chartered accountant and qualified company secretary with over 17 years of post qualification experience; Articleship from S R Batliboi & Co (E&Y member firm) and worked with global no 1 accounting firm Deloitte and Retail major Landmark group for the large part of the professional career; Handled audit of large corporate entities of Group like Aditya Birla Group, Tata Group, Prestige Estates Group, Future Group, Chalat Hotel Group, Stock Redler India and entities having large export businesses; Handled audit under Karnataka VAT Act for large entities for group like Tata Group, JSW Group etc. Involved in fund raising from Investors and Bankers Has significant experience in audits and preparation of financial statements under Indian GAAP and executing Internal audit assignments across various industries

Mr. A. G. Gopalan
Chief Executive Officer

Mr Gopalan known popularly as AGG in aviation circles is synonymous with the Industry itself. Starting his career with Indian Airlines 44 years back, he went on to join Jet Airways at its startup stage and developed the business in South India, Andaman and Sri Lanka. A mentor to his team members, he enjoyed taking them on the path of understanding the Airline Industry holistically, so much so, most of the people he trained are all holding various global positions today. His style of functioning is contagious and people take to him with ease and little effort. His entrepreneurial mind-set is a combination of boldness and humility.

Mr. Gopalan held a variety of senior roles at Indian Airlines and Jet Airways with the responsibility for managing ground handling teams, cargo warehousing, organizing cargo charters, supervising airport services as well as sales and marketing. After leaving Jet Airways, Mr. Gopalan joined a proposed regional start-up, Star Aviation and then took on the role of Head of Commercial at Air Costa. Mr. Gopalan’s extensive experience in airline operations provides Visskan Aviation with strong and capable leadership in its core competency. A very vital asset to the organization AGG, will be able to contribute largely towards its growth in the coming years.

Mr. Gopalan has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in English.

Mr. Venkat Rangan
Director

A young and dynamic entrepreneur and Founder Chief Executive Officer of Market Simplified, a global software technology company offering mobile solutions across multiple industries. The software has been implemented across all popular mobile and tablet operating systems such as iOS, Android, BB, Windows, Web OS and Bada. Supported by a compelling user experience and other value-added tools, Market Simplified has enabled clients to drive up to 20% of their online business through mobile channels. Mr. Venkat Rangan is making a critical contribution on the board by assisting Visskan to develop the appropriate business strategy to achieve its mission and objectives.

Mr. V. G. Kandhan
Director - Operations

A specialist in managing teams, Mr. Kandhan has been responsible for ensuring that the Visskan handling divisions at Chennai, Coimbatore, Trichy and Calicut are equipped and trained to meet the needs of our airline customers, particularly during flight disruptions. He is an experienced negotiator and places a strong emphasis on communicating with airline and airport stakeholders. Mr. Kandhan is a post-graduate in Economics.

Mr. V. M. Sanjeev Kumar
AVP - Operations

A highly efficient manager, Mr. Kumar is responsible for the operations at Bangalore and Hyderabad Airport. In addition to serving IndiGo, Jet Airways, Spice Jet, Visskan has also been engaged by both the airport handling concessionaires, Menzies and AISATS. Sanjeev has been instrumental in ensuring smooth business operations at Bangalore.

He is exposed to Operational Excellence, Risk Management, Internal Controls, Service Delivery Management, Quality Assurance, Client Interaction, Business Development, Performance Analysis, Team Leadership.

He is experienced in streamlining internal & external reporting processes and implementing latest practices in operations, managing cross-functional teams; deep understanding of quality management in a services environment; leadership in designing of creative solutions aimed at maximizing customer satisfaction, acquaint employees on usage of various quality methodologies and tools, implement new quality mechanism, audit process, proven skills in managing teams to work in sync with the company’s goals.

Ms. H. R. Surekha
AVP - (People & Culture)

Ms. Surekha is associated with this company from the day of its beginning. Now, with over 20 years of event-filled, fast track performance brings enriched HR experience that has benefited VISSKAN. Her key strengths include stretching beyond the required set of needs, creative thinking, ability to deliver to a plan/strategy ahead of time and working with cross-functional teams.

Her experience in HR involves working at all levels in the company and spans the entire gamut of HR at the grass-root levels-Hiring, Performance Appraisal System, Training & Development, Compensation & Benefits Management, Employee Involvement Activities and cloud-based HRSM Initiative recently launched. 

Surekha is a natural, understanding the employee's psyche and creating a conducive environment for the smooth and seamless functioning of the organization. Her priority has always been to build a high- caliber team which she realizes is the greatest asset of the organization. 

Ms. A. Tharini
Director - Finance

An experienced financial controller, Ms. Tharini has been with the company since it was established. She leads a team that is responsible for accounts payable and receivable, procurement negotiations, cost control and cash flow to ensure the profitability and smooth operations of the group companies.

Mr. Mohammed Jaffer Hussain
Senior General Manager - Cargo

Science graduate with Diploma in Business Administration. An industry experience of 34 years in shipping, freight forwarding, Air freight marketing, warehouse management and cargo handling. Served 23 years in Jet Air Group of Companies in various divisions. Marketing and sales of Kuwait Airlines Cargo Freighters Headed HAL JACC Bonded Warehouse. Managed handling of import/export of 6000 tonnes Cargo a month for 10 International Airlines with a large workforce. Handled domestic and international cargo sales for Jet Airways as Manager for Karnataka.

Mr. Arjun Singh Thakur
Executive Director – Head Logistics

An experienced logistics specialist, Arjun Thakur has held senior business development and operations positions with leading companies such as Gati India Limited, TVS Logistics, Tata Motors, Tata Steel and Intiva. He now heads Viskan logistics operations across India.

Mr. A. Ramesh
AVP - Finance

With responsibility for all accounting functions of the group, Mr. Ramesh brings almost 25 years’ experience, including five spent overseas, in a variety of sectors including financial services, tax compliance, consumer goods, information technology and e-commerce. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Kannan Chetlur
AVP - Corporate Communications

A hard wired communication professional adept in Media management, Mr Kannan has developed many Brands working with Multinational Advertising Agencies. Starting his career with Grant Kenyon &Eckhardt Advertising in Bombay he has worked in many Industry sectors such as Information Technology, Petrochemicals and Airlines and has won awards and recognitions from Multinational bodies such as Frost&Sullivan , London. Brand Positioning and creating competitive advantage have been part of this exercise.

He managed to create the most preferred airline brand in the south adjudged by Business Today as one among the top 200 brands in India.

Mentoring employees and creating motivation for better engagement has always been his forte. Activities such as Town Hall Meetings, Round Table meetings, Meeting with Chief Executive Officer have all resulted tangible results for the organisation. He has had interactions with DGCA, BCAS, AAI and MoCA during his stint with the airlines. Integrated Marketing with both traditional and Social Media is what he deploys for any Brand engagement exercise.

John Kennedy Bernard
Sr. Manager Ops, Chennai

Kennedy has an airline experience of over a decade. He started with Jet airways where he grew up to hold various responsible positions all at the airport. Later, he travelled into Kingfisher airlines in a senior position at the airport services. Being a commerce graduate with a post graduate Diploma in HRM, he has proven himself a successful manager in the airline industry. After his airline stint he was with Bhadra International at Chennai and sharpened his managerial skills in an exclusive GH company too.

He has also undergone the following trainings in his airline career. Basic Airport Handling, Customer Serve excellence, Telephone etiquette, Airside safety, Sabre – ACSI, IATA Dangerous Goods regulations, Sabre QIK Training, Security Awareness, International Airport handling, Aviation Security Programme, Handling of Terminal and Ramp Functions.

Kennedy is now responsible for Visskan’s operation at Chennai airport. He also does the client service to all our airline customers.

Krishna Kumar Narayanan
GM Operations, Hyderabad

Krishnakumar Narayanan a graduate from Loyola, is exposed to Operational Excellence, Risk Management, Internal Controls, Service Delivery Management, Quality Assurance, Client Interaction, Business Development, Performance Analysis, Team Leader is presently associated with Visskan Aviation Private Limited as General Manager – Hyderabad Operation.

He has requisite experience in streamlining internal & external reporting processes and implementing latest practices in operations, managing cross-functional teams. He also sources new business and is responsible for client service. His last position was with a startup airline based at Bangalore.

He is an aspect of life distinguished and unified by a particular characteristic of airline ground handling and is adept in his PR skills.

Shankar V
Manager - Commercial

An MBA with a Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Secretary ship, Shankar is located at Chennai - the regional HQ of all our airline customers and is responsible for business development activities of the company. He also takes care of Client Relations and Management. With ample airline experience of over a decade with Sahara and Paramount airways, he also worked with Srilankan Airways handling sales and marketing.

An accredited IATA BSP coordinator, he has top of the line relationship with all major travel portals of India. He is also experienced in cargo sales and operations. With outstanding leadership skills and continuous improvement methodologies in guiding cross functional teams to achieve performance excellence in the face of competition he has proven ability of achieving client relations service targets. His expertise in designing and implementing presales presentations and documentations are helping establish Visskan’s new image. His areas of expertise include business analysis, process improvement, executive leadership in change management, quality assurance team leadership, strategic planning, staff management, training & development, budgeting and costing.

Pradeep Kumar CK
Manager Training & Travel, Bangalore

A Strong organizer, motivator, team player and a decisive leader. Pradeep Kumar comes with relevant aviation industry experience to take care of training and travel for Visskan aviation. A Bachelor of Commerce with Diploma in IATA/UFTAA - International Air Transport Association, Montreal, Canada, Diploma in International Airlines & Travel Management at M/s. Sanpo Institute of Airlines & Travel Management, Coimbatore, Diploma in FAREXPERT – Fare Filing Platform in Amadeus System.

He has the ability to develop, analyze and implement inventory allocation strategies by seat allocation of different fare classes to maximize revenue and trains his teams in travel. He has handled MIS for the airline and has provided data for operational and commercial analyses, as a base for planning purposes and quality analysis. He has in depth knowledge of handling DGCA.

He has attended DGCA Coordination meetings representing the airline which would keep in good stead in getting all the approvals for VISSKAN as GHA in many airports
